October 5, 2007-Home, home on the range

We left Alberton, Montana at 9am
after a delicious breakfast at the
Ghost Rails Inn with another guest.
We didn't see any ghosts but during
breakfast the lights did flicker.
Coincidence? We encountered snow,
then more snow, then even more
snow.

We bought a house in Bozeman.........yeah, right!!!

I couldn't have been any colder and in any more layers James was in shorts and flip flops.

We made some friends in Yellowstone National Park, bison, elk, deer-mule.

And saw Old Faithful Geyser. A bathroom break made us miss the timely eruption.

Leaving Yellowstone may be sad for some people, it is truly one of the U.S. most amazing places. We, on the otherhand, were stuck in a blast of snow where it came down at angles so it was difficult to focus on the road. James was an amazing pilot, getting us through safely. Just a side note, we were maybe one of 10 cars on the road. We alotted 2 hours in the park, it actually took us 5. Once out of the park, we arrived at our next destination, Cody, Wyoming. Home of absolutely nothing!!!!

I must make mention that if anyone is passing through Cody, you must stay at Cody Cowboy Village. The owner is from New York and didn't spare a dime on this place! We got in so late last night he was going to "tape our key to the door" which is their policy. And then told us to enjoy the continental breakfast and apologized for not serving rugulach (a jewish danish).

We would also like to give a shout of to our new friend Woody and wish him well on his biking adventures.

The frequency of the posts can only happen at the beginning or end of a day. So, please be patient with us, we're tired, and some of us may even be irritable. We are just as excited to post as you are to read and reply. We'll try to add something every night. Downloading pictures takes forever!!! Also, you can post your reply after each daily entry, you don't have to go to the first one to reply.
Until next time, Lewis and Clark

I guess 10 feet to the buffalo.
But more important, who really cares!
Hope you're being nice to James.
Is he still in shorts and flip flops.

Hey Guys....

Please don't bring the snow home with you. We want to drag summer out as long as possible. Thanks for the pics. I'm shocked you got that close to any animal other than a cat.

Tell James I will keep him posted with football scores tomorrow...but he will have to deal with my abuse since I'm a Steeler fan and he is from Seattle. It's a price he will have to pay to get the updates.

Be safe..and enjoy the journey.

P.S. Phillies just scored...Yahooo!
