due to near white out conditions in Gillette WY. We woke to 2 inches of snow on the ground, luckily roads where bare and wet due to overnight warming
After passing through Sundance, WY (where the Sundance kid was jailed and got his nickname), we came upon Deadwood. Our drive through the gulch was beautiful.......unfortunately the town was a bust. Only turkeys playin' the slots. Deadwood is full of gold mining history and the backdrop to numerous gunfights and other "old western" debauchery.

Why do they call this Deadwood?

Natural entrance into Keystone National Park.

***Question of the day*** - Photo below
This picture was taken of what lovely mountain?

Once we found our way out of the Black Hills, the road opened up to the Great Plains and good weather which made us happy.

James was fighting the elements in hopes of Philadelphia weather the whole trip.
This puts an end to 5 days in the same shorts. No worries, the stain is only from our tea jug.

The beautiful Great Plains, somewhere South Dakota.

Crossing the Missouri River (Missour-"A" as said by mid-westerners) at sunset.

OFF TO MADISON, WISCONSIN...............
Entertainment of the day
We've been in the car so long and so far entertaining ourselves has become a sport. Check out how James has perfected his "arm" worm.

I'm trying to beat Dad & Mom to the buzzer.
Would the mountian hidden in the fog be "Mount Rushmore"?
Nice Arm Worm!
Happy Motoring
I am not even going to try and know the answers to your trivia questions but I do like it when your parents know the answer immediately. I think the "arm worm" video needs to be presented to Ellen for her wacky videos. You both seem so happy and I am sure the good weather will bring new energy to the trip. I enjoy waking up and seeing where you all are at...and seeing parts of our country that I might never see "but for" through your eyes. xoxox Aimee
I'm so enjoying this trip all the way with you two. Nice ! job on the blog! applause!!!!! I'm so proud that James has carried on the worm tradition. You have been practicing my nephew. Strength comes from form and mulitple waves without tiring too quickly. Will you be retiring those shorts when you get to Philly? Dude!!!! I'll check back later...be safe! peace and love, Aunt Annie
I hate to say this but Beth's answer is the obvious answer. But I think there is a trick answer but I can't come up with it.
Good luck Beth (closet babe).
Closet Babe! You made my day!
Back to the Gypsy Twins...when last I spoke to them they were visiting a well known vegetable mascot. Anyone have a guess?
Hugs to the happy travelers....you're almost home!
Hi guys. This is my final attempt at connecting with you! I have posted 5 times, but it never seems to work! I have enjoyed following you on your odyssey and I have done fairly well on your trivia questions, too! I don't know if you realize that Michael wanted to move us to Gilette, Wyoming when Josh was 5 and Zach was turning 3! Think about it!!! Stay safe and hug each other!
Hi Guys,
I am blown away with the arm worm. I can not stop watching the rythym James has. Who knew? I can hardly wait to get this guy on the dance floor. See you soon in Philly. MEOW!
You know I taught you the worm Baker.
